Company Secretary (CoSec) Clerk
International Students House (ISH) is looking for a highly organised and reliable CoSec Clerk to support our Company Secretary and CEO with the administration of our Board and Committees.
This is a flexible-hours role, with hours varying according to the Board and Committee meeting schedule. You can expect approximately 5–35 hours per month, with quieter periods during the summer and around Christmas. You will not need to attend every meeting in person, as recordings can be reviewed afterwards to prepare minutes.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and circulating Board and Committee meeting packs.
- Taking accurate minutes from meetings and maintaining action trackers.
- Liaising with the Company Secretary, CEO, Chair and Trustees.
- Managing the CoSec inbox and governance records.
- Maintaining registers, SharePoint and governing documents.
- Supporting statutory and regulatory governance requirements.
About you
You will have:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting a secretariat, governance or company secretarial function, ideally within a charity.
- A professional, diplomatic approach and confidence working with senior colleagues and Trustees.
- An understanding of governance and confidentiality.
Minimum requirement: Attendance at one Board/Committee meeting onsite per quarter.
